Botulinum Toxin (Botox) is the most common non-surgical cosmetic procedure in the world.

What is Botox?

Botox is derived from the bacteria C. Botulinum. It is a neurotoxin. Botox stops the release of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine from nerve endings, which signals the muscle to contract.

Thus Botox relaxes the treated muscle, reduces the wrinkles, and prevents the muscle from becoming stiff.

Indications or uses of Botox

Botox reduces expression lines, thereby preventing fine lines and wrinkles. Botox is usually used to reduce:

    • Frown Lines or Glabellar Lines – The lines between the eyebrows that make you look angry and unpleasant.
    • Crows Feet – wrinkles around the eyes.
    • Forehead Lines – horizontal creases on the forehead.
    • Marionette Lines – the lines in the corner of the mouth.
    • Popply chin- cobblestone skin on the chin.
    • Slimming of face and contouring.
    • Hyperhidrosis – Excessive sweating of palms, soles, and underarms.

How frequently should I take Botox?

The effect of Botox on your muscles would be for 4-6 months. You have to take Botox when the effect wears off.

How would Botox treatment be done?

We will give Botox into the specified muscle through tiny injections with fine insulin syringes after numbing your skin with numbing cream.

What are the side effects of Botox?

You may have mild pain and swelling for a couple of hours. You can avoid rare side effects such as temporary brow and lid ptosis by getting it done with an experienced doctor.

Expression less stone face could be because of Botox units’ overdosage, making your muscles flat and stiff. An experienced dermatologist gives the appropriate dose to relax them.

Botox is the most popular cosmetic treatment. This is an office procedure with less downtime and good results.
