What Causes Hairfall?
Hair fall can happen for many reasons. Nutritional deficiencies are one of the most common triggers — low levels of vitamin D, B12, iron (ferritin), and protein can weaken hair roots. Hormonal imbalances also play a major role. In women, conditions like PCOS and hormonal therapies can lead to hair thinning, while in men, androgenic alopecia (linked to high DHT levels) often causes patterned hair loss. Stress — both physical and emotional — is another contributing factor. Events like illness, surgery, weight loss, or major life changes can push hair into a shedding phase, leading to noticeable hair fall.
