Struggling with Acne Scars?

Acne scars are the result of damage caused to the skin after active acne heals. When inflammation from acne reaches deep into the skin, it disrupts the natural healing process and damages collagen — the protein responsible for skin structure and elasticity. As the skin tries to repair itself, it may produce too much or too little collagen, leading to raised or depressed scars. These scars can linger long after acne clears and affect the texture and appearance of your skin.

What Causes Acne Scars?

Acne scars are primarily caused by deep inflammation during active breakouts. This inflammation affects the dermis — the deeper layer of your skin — and damages collagen. When the skin tries to heal itself, it can either produce too much collagen, leading to raised scars (hypertrophic or keloid), or too little, resulting in sunken scars (atrophic). The more intense the inflammation and delay in treating active acne, the higher the chance of developing scars. Picking or squeezing pimples also increases the risk of scarring.
What Are My Options?

Our acne scar treatments often involve a combination of highly effective methods to achieve the best results:

Chemical Peels:
-
Medium to deep chemical peels help exfoliate damaged layers of skin and promote collagen remodeling. They can improve skin tone, reduce pigmentation, and smoothen mild acne scars over time.
Subcision:

Microneedling

Is the Treatment Painful?
Most acne scar treatments are well-tolerated. We apply topical numbing creams or give local anesthesia depending on the procedure, so you remain comfortable throughout. While some treatments may cause mild redness or tingling, these effects are temporary and manageable.
When Will I See Results?
Many patients notice early improvement in skin texture after their first session. However, since collagen remodeling takes time, the most noticeable changes typically appear around 8–12 weeks after treatment. For deeper scars, 4–6 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart provide optimal results. Some procedures involve little to no downtime, while others (like deeper laser treatments) may require a short recovery period.

Treatment Options

MNRF uses insulated microneedles to deliver radiofrequency energy into the dermis, heating the tissue and stimulating collagen remodeling deep within the skin. It's especially effective for deeper scars, with less surface damage and faster recovery than traditional lasers. Works well for all skin types.
