Lip Enhancement
Lip enhancement treatment is a popular non-surgical treatment that involves injecting filler into the lips to shape them.
Aging naturally causes your lips to become thinner and lose definition. Where you’re likely to notice it most is around ‘Cupid’s Bow’ – the V-shaped area of your upper lip. You may have used make-up to disguise things, but it can bleed down the vertical wrinkles and highlight the problem. The treatment involves the injection of dermal fillers :
- Restylane
- Juvederm
- Teosyal
- Revanesse
These will help boost your lips’ size and temporarily increase the volume with the use of fillers. It will also help give the skin a more youthful appearance by temporarily reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. You will see immediate results in the shape of your lips, and the treatment results will typically last for 12-18 months.
PRE PROCEDURE
Avoid Aspirin, Motrin, Gingko Biloba, Garlic, Flax Oil, Cod liver Oil, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, or any other essential Fatty acids for at least one week before treatment. No Alcohol, Caffeine, or Niacin supplement for three days before the treatment (Recommended one week).
POST PROCEDURE
Do not touch, press, rub, or manipulate the affected area for 7 hours after treatment. No Alcohol, Caffeine, or Niacin supplement for at least three days after the treatment (Recommended one week).
What results can I expect?
Natural-looking, subtle results – extra volume is added to the main body of the lip. The vermillion border of the lips is more defined, and fine lines diminish. Lips appear naturally youthful and plump, giving a flattering and more attractive look without the risk of a ‘trout pout.’

What are the side effects?
The most common side effects, as with any injection, is redness, bruising, and swelling at the injection site that typically lasts 1-2 weeks. It causes minimal bruising in comparison with permanent nose reshaping treatments that involve permanent fillers or Rhinoplasty.
How long do the results last?
The effects last between three-twelve months, and then a repeat treatment will be necessary.
